Big Top is one of my FAVORITE places to stop for a sweet treat in Austin! They are an old school true to it's name candy shop and even have a soda fountain to serve floats, shaved ices, and milkshakes! They have a ton of assorted candies, and the best part for me is that they have the self-serve candy bar! I'm able to get any kind of candy I like, and however much of it I want! They have a ton of Haribo gummies that I had never seen before...like gummy turtles with jelly inside and gummy chicken feet (they taste like peach flavor)!

Monster Cookies

Monster cookies are the perfect solution to when you're unable to decide what kind of cookies to bake! You're also able to play around with ingredients...Reece's Piece's sound like they would be delicious in it!

 INGREDIENTS

3 eggs

1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 12-ounce jar creamy peanut butter

1 stick butter, softened

1/2 cup multi-colored chocolate candies

1/2 cup chocolate chips

2 teaspoons baking soda

4 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal (not instant)

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or nonstick baking mats.

In a very large mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugars. Mix well. Add the salt, vanilla, peanut butter, and butter. Mix well. Stir in the chocolate candies, chocolate chips, baking soda, and oatmeal. Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overbake. Let stand for about 3 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool. When cool, store in large resealable plastic bags.

 You have to dig quite a bit when abroad to find a good record store. This place is tucked away in an alley near Duomo Cathedral in central Milan! The prices aren't so bad, you can even see the price tags in the photo above. The selection isn't a whole lot, but it'll give you a fix for your vinyl cravings!

Boulden Creek Cafe is an all vegetarian/vegan restaurant here in Austin. They have an AMAZING drink menu consisting of flavored iced coffee mixes, sodas, and lemonades...but what does it for me is their blueberry muffins! Their muffins are baked fresh every day and use real, fresh blueberries. They will also grill the muffin for you, so when it comes out all warm and steaming, it's ready for the butter to melt into it...my mouth is watering just thinking about them! I recommend swinging by for breakfast and ordering one with a side of fresh OJ!
